The Rebuilding Futures Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation established to create national opportunities for employers, delivering real scale in placing people with low-level past convictions into full-time, meaningful careers. This initiative brings together a powerful alliance of credible charities, each with a strong track record and an established national network of experienced providers. However, despite their success, these organisations often operate without central support, limiting their ability to fully scale their efforts.
Each year, reoffending costs the UK economy £18.1 billion – funds that could support the NHS, schools, and other vital public services. With one in two individuals reoffending within six months of release, the impact extends beyond individuals, affecting entire communities.

Rebuilding Futures Alliance is committed to breaking this cycle. Launching in January 2025 with CIC status, we work to reduce reoffending by facilitating inclusive and sustainable employment pathways for people with previous convictions who have spent time in prison. Evidence shows that employment is the single most effective factor in preventing reoffending, reducing the rate to one in five.
Our Ambassadors come from diverse backgrounds but are united by a common goal — a deep passion for raising awareness and understanding of RFA’s mission. They generously lend their influence and personality to support our cause, and we are truly grateful for their dedication and unwavering commitment to our future.
"This is game-changing for employment, for public transport, infrastructure and for society. When someone serves their time, it’s critical that they get given the right support to put them on a path and that it is tracked, measured and reported. The Rebuilding Futures Alliance will do that, meaning less people in prison after falling back into criminality, more skilled, trained workers in one of the UK’s largest sectors and more money in taxes going back into the economy. Ultimately, it's about saving lives and breaking generational unemployment and criminality amongst low risk offenders. Everyone stands to benefit and we are delighted to be helping to lead this movement for change."
"Prisons are at breaking point and when people do leave jail, 50% of individuals within the first 12 months fall back into the vicious circle of criminality and unemployment. The Rebuilding Futures Alliance aims to change all that for low risk offenders, who account for a large part of the prison population. It’s for that reason we are delighted to back this not-for-profit organisation and the potentially life-changing work they are now undertaking.”

As a business-led organisation, the Alliance is partnering with expert charities and social enterprises to create smart pathways to help businesses mitigate risk and support individuals with low-level criminal previous convictions in rebuilding their futures. In a fast-paced society, we celebrate that it’s businesses working in direct partnership with grassroots organisations that have the power to affect positive change in society.
